Sophie (or Soph to her friends) is a woman who gets it. She’s done it, she’s felt it, she’s prevailed none the less. She’s prepared to be candid, to say the quiet things out loud, and constructively so.
She’s got a track record of exceptional professional success in private equity environments. As a CEO she’s carved a personal path of growth for herself and many others by unswervingly building and leaning into her own style.
Hers is a journey and philosophy that she hadn’t considered remotely relevant to the debate. Indeed she’d railed against the label of being a Woman Leader until a moment of clarity – you’ve got to play the position you’re in.
Driven by her commitment to take responsibility for that position, she champions the need for women to invest in their own development no matter the discomfort. It’s a duty she takes seriously, but not without a great deal of self-effacing fun and energy, and the odd cartwheel.
